What size computer case fan would fit a hole pattern that is approx.3.25'; (82mm) square?

My case had a plastic adapter that held an 80mm fan. The adapter snapped onto the rear of the case. The adapter broke. There is a hole pattern I could use but I don't know what the hole pattern dimensions are for case fans. This hole pattern in the case is approx. 3.25'; square. What standard case fan size has a 3.25'; square hole pattern? What size computer case fan would fit a hole pattern that is approx.3.25'; (82mm) square?

This was just the first link I came across but any 80mm fan should have the hole layout setup correctly.

They are fairly standard

To answer the question 80mmWhat size computer case fan would fit a hole pattern that is approx.3.25'; (82mm) square?
i have not heard of this, so it could be that you need the adapter to use the fan in that case

and since it just so happens that 3.25 inches is almost exactly 80 mm.....

so the chances that it could have held anything larger in the first place is pretty small, and fan sizes usually increase in 10 mm increments (until you get to the really big fans).

i would go with another 80 mm, and/or try and make another adapter out of a piece of plastic.
It's not clear how you are measuring the hole pattern. An 80mm fan fits a hole pattern that is 80mm square (71.5mm between hole centers), which is approximately 3.25';. So why wouldn't an 80mm fan fit?
