How do I backup and then restore my messenger contacts in case my computer crashes?

If my computer crashes, I want to make sure I do not lose my Yahoo Messenger contacts: how do I do that? I am using version 8.10.0419.

Your contacts are saved on Yahoos Server. So if your PC crashes or you install a different version of messenger, everything is still there, because it is saved on Yahoos Server.
